Time Flies

VACATION!---
(Enjoying the Duck Boat Tour)

So, it has been a while since I have posted anything, but a super busy summer as well! So far we have enjoyed: 2 trips to the cities (shopping, zoo etc) to visit with family, 4th of July picnic & fireworks, family visiting, lots of food, tons of time spent on the boat, and enjoying the lake, as well as a few pools, and the latest highlight...a week in Wisconsin Dells!

(Driving the Boat! PRRRR)

We have had a great summer, and now refreshed after our family vacation (Chris, Dawson & I). We spent a week at a nice resort in Wisconsin Dells where we enjoyed our time relaxing, playing in their gorgeous pools and hot tubs, riding a park sized steam/coal train, riding an old time carousel, and Ferris wheel, (also, Dawson rode his first ride, by himself!) going on a horse drawn tour of canyons, mini golf, paddle boating, watching a ski/sky/laser show, and taking a tour on the famous Duck boats. Not to mention all the fun we had viewing the many sites, and enjoying the many places to eat! It was a great adventure, but also wonderful to be home again!! Oh ya, we also saw the inside of the clinic there...(Dawson was sick with a 103 temp, but doing great now!) (Grandad & Dawson waiting for the 4th of July Parade)

We left for the cities Friday night, and stayed with Chris's brother & sister in law. We then hit the road Saturday mid morning. We spent the week with just the 3 of us until Thursday afternoon when Chris's brother Ron, and his wife Heidi came to enjoy the rest of the week with us. It was great...fun to have company, and Dawson loved spending time with his aunt and uncle. We headed back to the cities Saturday, and spent the night there before heading home Sunday morning. Dawson did well riding in the car all those hours...watching all the trucks and cars go by was his highlight.

(So Big!! Riding all by himself!!)

Dawson was so happy to be home, now he says "hi" to the dog every time he walks by him...can't believe how much he missed Simba "saba" or "puppy" as Dawson calls him.

(Train We Rode)

All in all, the vacation was great...got in some relaxing time, and great family time. Loved spending the whole week with my two boys! It was also refreshing for Chris and I not to have to even think about work. But we are happy to be home, in our own beds!! (At the Tommy Bartlett Ski Show)
